Plane Crash Survivors Feasted on Corpses!

>> 8.2.09

Plane crash victims feasting on dead bodies sounds like a zombie horror film with a twist, except the film in question, Stranded: I've Come from a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains, is a documentary.  A documentary film freaking scary?

Absolutely, the film  interviews the sole survivors left from a 1972 plane crash in the Andes Mountains of Peru who resorted to cannibalism.   Stranded: I've Come from a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains, is a riveting account of what drove these passengers to eat human flesh to survive.

Save your money - Watch Crank 2 trailer

>> 4.2.09

It's freaking scary that Crank 2 would release a trailer that gives so much of the movie away. Guess what, Jason Statham, the English Stallone, didn't die in Crank 1? Jason's cranked up and searching for his heart in all the wrong places.

2012 End of the World?

The end of the world? Doomsday? Now, that's freaking scary. It's an idea the film trailer for 2012 exploits in a very subtle way. Namaste.

Transformers 2 is freaking scary!

>> 2.2.09

In case you missed this pregame Superbowl TV spot for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Thank god, I mean Michael Bay, for not giving us another Kate Blanchett English costume drama!

Push Exceeds Limits

>> 31.1.09

Dakota Fanning strikes me as freaking scary for some reason, crazy eyes, perhaps, but it's not good enough reason not to go see her latest flick, Push, which opens February 6th. Push is basically the Matrix meets X-Men with out the superhero spandex costumes. Bad guys want to harness our mutant good guys powers for no good. Who will prevail? Hollywood's hoping to stretch that answer into a trilogy. Push's action sequences pay "homage" to that sylized, Hong Kong fighting made famous by director John Woo. Worth seeing.

Friday 13th There Will Be Blood

There will be blood. Lots and lots of blood, starting on Friday 13th, 2009 as Jason returns once again to mow down the pretty young things hanging out at Crystal Lake. And, Jason, after your done taking care of business, there's some people in Afghanistan we'd like you to meet. But seriously, you can tell the economy is so bad, when Jason, who is probably about a 107 in movie years is forced back out of retirement after his pension fund went belly up in this wall street debacle. No wonder he's angry! I'm pissed off, too! Where's my axe? Don't worry, Jason. If you can make it anywhere, it's New York City. I'd hedge my bet on you. Exit your car lease early - no penalties!

Last House on Left

Okay, so there's been a ton of Hollywood remake bashing on the freaking scary comment boards, but I have to say that this trailer for Last House on Left made me scream with delight! Just when I thought those suits in Hollywood couldn't get it anymore wrong, this little horror gem shows up. Sure it's a retelling of the Wes Craven classic, but then again, I think Craven actually remade or paid "homage", that's french for what they call it when you get ripped off, Ingmar Bergman's The Virgin Spring. WTF? I know you never heard of it because it's in black & white and swedish...sounds like a punchline of a joke. Do yourself a favor, Neflix The Virgin Spring.

Freaking Scary Mary Poppins

What freaking scares me the most? Nice people, really nice people like Mary Poppins, who seems too good to be true. Makes Banshee wonder what evil lurks in their heart? Sure, Mary Poppins can't walk on water, but what when you can fly why get your feet wet? And what's her obession with teaching children new songs? Is Supercalifragilous actually a spell? Now, the real truth can be told once and for all about the singing, flying nanny in "Scary Mary Poppins." I'd pay to see that!
